What can I upload?
A plain website: an .html file, or a .zip of a folder with an index.html at the top and its styles, scripts, pictures, fonts and videos, up to 50 MB. Server code (PHP, databases) and hidden files are left out, and we show you a list of anything we left out.
How do I get my website out of Claude or ChatGPT?
In Claude, open the artifact and download it as an .html file. In ChatGPT, copy the code into a text file and save it as index.html. From Lovable, Bolt or v0, download the finished website (usually a folder called dist or build) and zip it. If your website has several files, put them in one folder and zip it.
How much does it cost?
Previewing is free. Hosting is $10 a month, or $100 a year (two months free), with no setup fee. Cancel whenever you like.
Do I get an SSL certificate?
Yes. Every website gets the secure padlock (https) for free, on its free address and on your own domain, and it renews by itself.
Do you back up my website?
Yes, every night. Backups are kept for 14 days, with a copy stored away from our servers. Earlier versions you uploaded also stay in your dashboard for 48 hours, so you can go back or download them.
What about contact forms?
They work by themselves. When you upload, we find the forms on your website and connect them: what people send comes to Messages in your dashboard, and to your email if you like. Spam is filtered out.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. If you already own one, you add two records where you bought it (we show you exactly which ones). Or buy a new one from your dashboard and we set it up for you. Either way your website shows there with the secure padlock, and your free address keeps working too.
Is my preview private?
Yes. It has its own long, unguessable address and it’s hidden from search engines. A preview you haven’t signed up for is deleted after 48 hours, and once you sign up your website is kept 48 hours for you to put it online.
Can I change my website later?
Upload a new version whenever you like. It goes to your private preview first, and your live website changes only when you press “Put this version live”.
Can I hide my website while I finish it?
Yes. Switch on the Coming soon page and your web address shows a simple Coming soon page until you switch it off. Your private preview still shows your website.
What can’t I host?
Anything that pretends to be another company, asks for passwords or card details under false pretences, carries harmful code, or sells or shows anything illegal. We check every upload, and the full rules are in our Terms of Service.
What if I cancel?
Your website stays online until the end of the time you’ve paid for, then goes offline. You can delete it from your account whenever you like.
